If you hire a professional wedding photographer to take your wedding pictures, ensure that he or she knows a little about both the bride and groom. It is important to have an understanding of what you both see as significant pictures to take away as memories from your special day. The wedding photographer you choose should be interested in the details of your wedding and have an itinerary of what is supposed to happen when, and who is going to be walking down the aisle as bridesmaids and groomsmen, as well as their relationship to you and your family. Also on the list, after the wedding ceremony at the reception, you will want pictures of the bride and groom cutting the cake and feeding cake to each other. Photos of the bride tossing the bouquet and the groom taking off the bride’s garter are a must and family favorites years later.

You should consider unique pictures as well and out-of-the ordinary snapshots in time of spontaneous happenings during the ceremony. Often these become cherished treasures of unscripted moments that will bring back a flood of memories upon viewing when celebrating anniversaries later.
