What is the source of digital camera power is a million dollar question. Diplomatically speaking, digital camera power is derived from the solar energy. 2. Secondly, lithium ion batteries do not possess a recharge memory, which means that they can be fully recharged every time without picking up a memory of the residual charge.
3. Thirdly, these digital camera batteries do not lose much of a charge when not in use. This can be of great help to the customers as the digital camera is not used for a considerable length of time and they are more often than not kept idle.

The anode and cathode are the two main constituents of the lithium ion batteries which remains dipped in the electrolyte solution. Lithium ions move towards the cathode from the anode while discharging and the opposite path while recharging. As a result of this mechanism it is easy to predict the constancy and output of the digital camera power of a lithium ion battery.

People often tend to confuse lithium ion batteries with lithium batteries. While lithium batteries are unable to produce any power, lithium ion batteries play the pivotal role in the generation of digital camera power. No other batteries invented so far have been proved to be as efficient in generating power as lithium ion batteries.
